Blue Shirt started conducting its social media research in 2021 and has been monitoring from various perspectives on the messages shared by political and military leaders with the public via social media, and their responses to political issues, regarding short-term political goals such as anti-coup movement, armed resistance, and nonviolent civil disobedience, as well as long-term political goals such as democracy and democratic values, and building a federal system.
